Education

I chose Stetson University for its exceptional language program and the ability to study abroad. What I found was not just the next step from high school, but a lifetime of memories and friends. The Stetson University, Gamma Chi chapter of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority gave me many lifelong friends that I continue to see long after graduation. Being a Spanish major, I spent nine months studying abroad at the University of Madrid, in Madrid, Spain. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Leisure

Those who know me that my number one priority is to my family. My husband, Chuck, and sons, Geoffrey and Nicholas, are what matter most in my life. I enjoy playing the piano, although without an audience, riding my bike around the neighborhood with my family, traveling, and of course, shopping.

Work

I am a Spanish teacher in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Teaching is my passion. You just can't explain how it feels when a former student comes up to you and tells you that because of you, they are a better person, or that you were right when you said that studying in college is nothing like high school.

In the past, I have been the head of the department, taught advanced placement and the AICE Cambridge program, and enjoy almost every minute of it.
